    Looking after your secondary glazing

    Simple care keeps seals and glass performing

    Secondary glazing needs very little maintenance, but a few habits keep it looking and performing its best. The video shows how to clean both sides of the unit, including the faces that sit against the existing window, and how to lift out sliding panels safely where the design allows.

    Clean the glass with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid solvent sprays on the frames and seals, and never use abrasive pads on laminated glass.

    • Wipe perimeter seals occasionally so dust does not compress them.
    • Keep sliding tracks free of grit for smooth operation.
    • Check drainage slots and vent areas are clear.

    When to get in touch

    If a panel ever feels stiff, a seal looks worn or you notice condensation between the panes, contact us. Frames and seals are covered by a warranty of up to 25 years, and most adjustments are quick to put right.
